Henry L. Ahrens, Esq.
Mr. Ahrens has been a practicing attorney for the past twenty years, and specializes in helping consumers effectively deal with their financial difficulties. Mr. Ahrens also counsels clients regarding real estate and immigration matters. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of New York for the past twenty (20) years, and is also licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey for the past nineteen (19) years. Additionally, Mr. Ahrens is admitted to practice law in the United States Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Ahrens was formerly employed as an attorney by the international professional services and consulting firm of Ernst & Young, L.L.P., in their National Tax Department. While at Ernst & Young, Mr. Ahrens helped clients address debt restructuring issues, and other related topics. Mr. Ahrens is also the author of a substantial law review article involving debt restructuring issues, which was published by The Virginia Tax Review (The Virginia Tax Review is itself published by The University of Virginia School of Law at Charlottesville). Mr. Ahrens has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in Hempstead, New York. Mr. Ahrens also has a Master of Law degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Ahrens is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
